Pool Plant Operator

We are seeking an organised and knowledgeable Mechanical and Electrical Plant Co-ordinator (Pool Plant Operator) to join the team at Lower Mill Estate.

Your main responsibility will be to ensure our swimming pools are maintained to a consistently high standard, which will include managing chemical testing, cleaning and filter backwashing. You will also need to be confident in organising sub-contractor works and managing all associated expenditure.

Reporting to Spa Operations and Facilities Manager
Salary £28,000
Hours This role is 40 hours per week, working Monday - Friday, 7.30am - 4pm with a 30 minute lunch break.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Conducting weekly cleans and filter backwashing in line with PWTAG guidelines
  • Carrying out daily pool testing to ensure safe chemical levels
  • Maintaining and managing relationships with suppliers, providers and contractors
  • Managing and updating related health and safety documentation
  • Responding to guests and homeowners in a friendly and professional manner

We’d love you to have:

  • An excellent understanding of mechanical and electrical issues that could arise on the Estate
  • Good knowledge of chemical compounds and how to deal safely and effectively with dangerous and non-dangerous chemicals
  • First-class communication skills
  • Confidence to lone-work, and make decisions using own initiative
  • Must be able to swim and be willing to become a pool-responder
